Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our team in Detroit. The Assistant Event Coordinator will support the planning and execution of various events, ensuring they run smoothly and successfully.


Pay range: $21.50 - $31.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, including corporate meetings, client appreciation events, seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Communicate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to arrange event logistics, such as catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation.
  • Help create and distribute event materials, including invitations, promotional materials, agendas, and signage.
  • Maintain event budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effective event planning.
  • Assist with on-site event setup, registration, and coordination, ensuring all details are executed according to plan.
  • Support post-event activities, including the compilation of feedback, analysis of event success, and preparation of reports.

Job requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or a related role preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
